Claythro Tower : Second Story : 1 South, 1 East. At this point, you get Exit Level, and (had you not read this message) you would probably not notice the spider whether you were in AE or in JtRH.

Thanks. About this confusion, what I was trying to get at is the fact that before he went down the stairs, he was worn out from the level, and he wasn't concentrating. As a result, the spider attacked when he was halfway towards the stairs.
