Hey

As DROD:TCB is getting close to release, I find myself unable to name a single new feature. There were some mentions of misc/interface changes, but I'm especially interested in gameplay innovations.

Somehow people seem much less hyped about DROD:TCB than they were about DROD:JTRH. I don't say it's bad, but it makes me a little uneasy.

I wouldn't be worried. A lot of the hype around JTRH came after the information webpage as well as the 'ask stuff about JtRH' thread. If/when that happens with TCB people will get actively excited.

And in hindsight those two things were probably a mistake, as people got hyped too early for JtRH. I'd hope that Erik plans to wait a while before hyping up TCB.

Well, he wont be able to release it like jtrh.
How will he be able to wait 3 months without the bar moving at all??

As long as its not Duke Nukem Forever early! Or even worse, Oblivion early (it was being hyped when DAGGERFALL came out! Now THATS a long wait. Especially since now that it did, my Graphics Card won't support it, and I can't afford a new one )

Personally, I'm just looking forward to "Above the City Beneath - The Prequel". Heard there's gonna be *lots* of new features including trolls and dancing mummies. Oh, and a 3D mode with ray-guns.

I hate to be a party pooper, but there's still enough time to hype up TCB before it's released even if we don't start right now.

And know, announcing the puzzle game that you've all waited for... DROD: Journey to Rooted Hold! It came out a year and a half ago, but that's okay, you can still get it!

Hmmm... post-announcements aren't as effective as one might think.
