Quite an ingenious room!

I know I probably don't have to kill all the tar babies, but I can't seem to get to a "safe" area by the time all the bombs explode.

(1) seems like a red herring--doesn't protect me when the bombs go off.

So (2) seems like the way to go--but can't get there in time!

Any pointers?

Thanks,
tiberiusdw

Where bombs are concerned I recommend taking a screenshot of the explosion to find out where safe areas are.

One such solution was actually eliminated during beta, but not all of them were (there are several still working - check the high score demos).

I'm beginning to despair of ever entering the Dreamplane. This is my last room. Would somebody please share a "safe" spot in this room with me? I can't see the room pic & have no software for capturing a screen. I have searched, in vain, to find some reference for bomb range. I'm tired of guessing & failing. Thanks.

Bombs always explode in a 7 by 7 square centered around the bomb (unless blocked by walls, where it gets a wee bit complicated)

Or, in other words, any position within 3 tiles of a bomb is a bad spot to hide, unless there's a wall in the way of the blast.

I give up! I've stood on EVERY square not occupied by a bomb & still NO LUCK. I CANNOT find a safe spot within the red walls although according to the posts there is one. (Ok, dropping the black door will do it but it doesn't seem possible with the # of moves available.)

So I ask again. Some one please tell me how to solve this room.

It is definitely possible to stand on the squares where the black door is. You need to be pretty efficient and destroy all the tar and mud and tar babies, and then be standing right next to the green door so that when the bombs explode you can move to where the black door was before the inner sets of bombs goes off. You should have a few moves to spare if you are perfectly efficient.

I'll attach a demo just in case you don't want to try any more. :) And then check out the fastest demos to see the "secret" way of doing it.

Game on,

I feel soo stupid/blind! I completely overlooked the "other" door. Once I "saw" it the room was easy. Definitely a case of "over-thinking" on my part.

Dreamplane, I'm yours!

Thanks for the help!
