There is an interaction here that is, unfortunately, never properly explained in TSS.

If you kill a rock golem in shallow water, it forms a stepping stone.

We really do need an in-game tutorial for that sort of things.

You're right. Not quite sure how to explain this at that point without giving away the puzzle. We could possibly add a trivial bit to the room to show off this interaction, but I'm guessing players and devs are generally against making room changes at this point.

I looked through the earlier rooms and I see a possibility. It would involve a very minor change that, as far as I can see, doesn't affect any puzzle solutions.

Sounds good.

Of course, another way around the accusations that we fail to provide enough explanation of how things work is to expand the Clearing School tutorial.

e.g. a room with clones, with mimics, with tarstuff, with seep, with shallow water etc.

That would be the optimal idea. While I thought TSS was well-paced for people who have played the series, I had this initial looming thought that it might not be appealing to newer people because the first few levels. imo I'm sure people can handle those just as some of us were able to handle KDD pre-checkpoints, but only if maybe the clearing school was expanded.
