To stop the Stalwart from reaching the wubba is easy.
Lure the aumtlich so that the stalwart stands in its gaze and the stalwart will start turning forever.

However, this doesn't help since the aumtlich will survive.

I can't figure out where the aumtlich should be when I step on the pressure plate.
