Lost in a City : The City of Lenary : 3 North, 3 East (0)

Hi, I know this is an easy hold & it's been an enjoyable respite from the Lone Soldier but maybe my brain has gone to sleep. I'm assuming I must move the mirror on to the pressure plate which I'm finding impossible. The only other thing in the room to use is a roach which is equally troublesome. Grrr!

You've got to use the mirror, but you can't do it from the west entrance, since you'll smash the mirror no matter what you do.

You can only do this room once you re-enter from the stairs.

I am lost. I came from Interlude...arriving in the city of Lenary 4N 1W. I made my way east, the only available route, until I came to 3N3E which is unsolvable from the East. The blue gate is still up so I have unsolved rooms & no accessible stairs. Anyone know where I went wrong? I restored to the level exit of Interlude but to no avail.
