When i set a swordsman on oremites his ATK stays the same.
this means he could do the same without sword,so he isnt specialised in swords,so he isnt a swordsman?

I think this isn't a bug. That's quite... interesting, yes, but not a bug? Why? Because monster's ATK doesn't depend on weapon(at least custom monsters'). So, even if you put swordsman on oremites, the attack will stay the same.

... True, but should'nt it be? i mean...it does even more damage then slayers! do they also wear iron knuckles or something?

cause ive been making a hold that actually includes a barrel to be smashed,so it leaks oremites,so it eats the swordsman's sword away and you can beat him cause he has much less atk.

Okay, but how much attack would a swordsman without a sword have? Any number you pick will be arbitrary.

380, because a Really Big Sword adds 220 attack to your base attack, and it is mentioned that swordsmen carry Really Big Swords.

And what about the other sworded enemies? What are they carrying?

(On a side-note, if he really is carrying a really big sword why can't you pick it up from his corpse? Maybe it has a fingerprint scanner built in, or it self-destructs apon unwielding.)

DROD RPG: 20,000

(not to be confused with Warhammer 20,000, a tabletop miniature wargame set twenty thousand years in the future after the original Warhammer game) :)

Same reason the player in DROD can't pick up a guard's short sword after frying him on a hot tile. (Not that we've decided what a good handwave that reason is yet...)

But in DROD you already have a Really Big Sword, anything else would be a downgrade. ;)

Not if the player role isn't Beethro, or the player is disarmed :)

(My point is that the sword only exists as a part of the enemy, and not really *as a weapon*. Soulless attack the player without swinging around their swords into the player, and furthermore also attack the player whenever the player steps on their sword.)

Well, the slayer turns his "sword" to you and loses wisp on oremites without losing ATK.

I thought about changing monster ATK power based on whether it is currently wielding a sword or not. The current behavior is the indended behavior, but we could think about changing it in the future. In any event, there's a current workaround by making a scripted monster type whose ATK power could go down when on oremites.
