I seem to be the first one that needs help finding the best strategy for this room. Any strategy other than telling me to use tar babies to block the 2x2 areas would be helpful. I would be more grateful for a victory demo.

I don't remember how I solved this one. However, there are a couple of important things to note.

What problems are you having with the room, exactly? Where do you get stuck?

Josh

Thanks for the suggestion, jbluestein. Taking out the tar mother's is not the problem. Leaving an eye long enough to prevent being left with a 2x2 has been. I am not able to clear tar fast enough to keep it from overwhelming me. I don't know when to take out the mother. Is there any particular area better to concentrate on early on? I think perhaps I have just lost patience with this room. Will keep trying. :~(

If there's not a black door, you don't need to clear all tar.

I can't remember if there is one in this room, but I don't think so.

I KNEW THAT!!! I just needed you to tell. For days I have been looking at the red and green doors thinking I needed to clear the tar, which is most likely impossible. THANKS!!!!
