My first time hosting an unofficial contest, so here goes.

Rules
Make a hold art picture in DROD 2.0, and the picture can be anything that does with thanksgiving. Post your pictures here with anyone-edit. We will then hold a poll to see who our top 3 is! The maximum level size is 5x5, and only one level. Please only submit one entry, but if you really want to, you can post other pictures here with unofficial at the end of the file name. That's pretty much it. If you need clarification, ask me, and I'll try to reword it.

Prizes
1st Place: 10 rank points
2nd Place: 7 rank points
3rd Place: 5 rank points
Participation: 1 rank point

The deadline is Local Time:12-05-2024 at 12:00 AM

Oh I'm always the one asking what must seem like stupid questions! Ah well, another one won't hurt I suppose - "Make a hold art picture" : is that not just like the photos I put on the floors in Seasons? If not then can some kind person tell an old lady what's a "hold art picture"?

incidentally I don't have a clue about Thanksgiving either, but I see someone has already made that point.

Elfstone, the pictures you imported into the hold were 'custom tiles'. When you make 'hold art', you use elements from DROD to make, well, artwork. You can use walls, master walls, blue, green, red walls, and obsticles!

A hold art picture is where you make a level and when you look at the entire level in the editor, it looks like something. Example: ClaytonW's Eye:

As mentioned above hold art isn't about importing pictures, it's about using DROD elements artistically, specifically for the purpose of making an interesting-looking level map. So, the same thing as you did in many of your rooms in "Seasons" - arranging tar to look like grapes, and so forth - but instead of aiming for the room to look good, you want the map to look good.

Thanksgiving is when you eat a lot of food! Well, it actually celebrates when Christopher Columbus has a feast with the Indians in North America, when he first sets foot on land. Or something like that.

You could do a picture of a pumpkin, a table with food, or a turkey, etc.

Ahaa! Thanks Tokyokid. So - basically, just like Seasons, but on a grander scale, across rooms? I think I might have a go at this one. Will you give us non-USA-ers some hints about Thanksgiving? (I've already done Autumn and Winter in Seasons and I'd like to try something else.)

I wasted all of yesterday evening (when I had intended polishing off my submission) fighting my new broadband setup - and losing Another 24 hours would make all the difference to me.
