OK, so I spend way too much time in front of the computer. In the case of this hold, though, it's horribly unproductive. I've been in trouble for a while on this room too.

So - the "best" approach doesn't work, and anything else I've tried doesn't even get me that far. This suggests there's something better than "my best" - any hints?

Well, you can't beat this room until the blue door drops, so if you haven't dropped it then you're already out of luck. If you have, then the decoy has to trigger the fuse. Potions can be blown up by bombs. Hope that helps.

Blue door dropped, but I still can't beat this room. I've activated the fuse whilst killing a brain using a decoy, but after that, I'm stumped.

Beat the room after posting help for it. When I read the above text I assumed you used the first decoy on the fuse (which was wrong).

Hi everybody. The blue door is an issue for me. I always thought that blue doors open after all monsters are defeated and all rooms are visited.
Can somebody explain what the exception is for this one?

Actually blue doors drop once all required rooms (red on the minimap) are cleared. This room is unrequired. So as noted above, if you clear all the other rooms on the level then the blue door will drop and you can clear this one.
