Thats the most genious idea i have ever seen! Great work... some bugs (you can still jump out of a pit which makes no sense :-) but apart from that i love it... 10/10... really looking forward to more of that.

Hm. Yeah, I'm gonna have to work on that. I /think/ I can do it with clever use of force arrows, but.

you could just hinder beethro with a gate from going north as soon as the raoch entered the area were it shouldnt be able to jump anymore.

Or how about a not-so-clever use of force arrows: A down arrow when the roach enters the pit?

Also, I'd suggest using a goblin rather than a roach, because they have legs.

I'm not sure. Golin moves are harder to predict ;).
And the jump problem:
there should be another mimic, which blocks the tunnel, when the roach is in a place where it can't jump.

Put a roach on a platform so it can fly? BRILLIANT!

But this is a rather short demo.
If I were to score it, I would give it a 9.75/10.
Rather nice idea, Banjooie. Make more!

I went ahead and made world 1-2 for you. Hope you don't mind. The roach is now capable of bouncing off baddies.

I could swear I was playing Super Mario for a while there.
If only we could edit the character graphics.

Get the roach so it's stopped right next to the guard's sword when it's facing west. Wait one turn so the sword faces northwest, then jump over it.

Upon further review, my script for 1-2 is relatively screwed up if you try to jump on enemies you've already killed. If someone wants to try and perfect that script, be my guest.

Thx for that tip, basily its a nice idea but the probably is that if you start at the wrong time (at an even time and not an odd one) you cant finish the level...

Cool. A bug though: In 3E you can skip the slayers entirely, by just exiting through the hole above the first one by using his hook to jump up.

It's a platform game. It's expected you'll find ways to jump off things you shouldn't.

Could somebody compile all the worlds into a full hold? That way, we could just update that and people like me wouldn't have to download four holds.

I'm only not doing this because I feel vaguely dirty absorbing people's rooms into my hold like some kind of Borg Architect.

I'm also trying to figure out a way to make the 'level' parts look less dumboriffic. I'm thinking, like, custom floors.

I made that DPoD level so you could use it. Not so you feel "vaguely dirty". It will help people, as Chaco said.
