We all know that "42" is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. A computer chugged away at that problem for seven and a half million years. The answer was delivered without an accompanying question, much to everyone's dismay. The question had not actually been specified at any point, and was actually much harder to come up with than the answer. If this makes no sense at all to you, then you just haven't read all the same books I have.

In this contest, I would like for you to come up with answers to undefined questions. I won't know what the question is and nobody else will. Maybe you won't even know what the question is. Just give us the answer!

The rules are very easy...

Rules

1. Post your answer as a reply to this topic. It's okay if other people see it before the deadline.

2. The deadline for posting answers is:

Local Time:04-15-2006 at 01:00 AM

3. You can post between 1 and 3 answers. Please delete any answers that you decide you don't want to use.

4. Editing posts is fine. No editing or deleting after the deadline passes.

5. To get a little momentum going, there is an early poster bonus of 2 rank points for the first 10 people to provide an answer.

6. Your post should only contain the answer. No explanations, no cute remarks, and certainly no questions.

7. After the deadline passes, we will have a vote where people rate all the answers.

Winners

If you have the highest-rated answer, you'll get 100 rank points and an item of your choosing from the Prize Pile. Runner-ups get 50 and 25 rank points. First-time participants (have never participated in a contest before) get a "rookie" bonus of 10 rank points.

See Erik, the mean guys are doing it again! Do I get bonus points for denouncing them? Well, sorry to spoil your fun with the rule-lawyering.

Bah, I got there too late. Erik was much closer to the prey, and jumped in for the kill before I could do anything.

1. To get to the other side.

2. Take the first left at the intersection, then proceed about 300 yards and you will see a gas station on your left. Turn immediately after the gas station and drive down until you see the sign that says "No trespassing", then take a left, a right, another left, then you'll see another turn off to the right but you can't get there directly, you'll have to go about another half-mile and take a u-turn, then double back and take that turn. Once you've done that, just go straight onwards until you see the 7-11 and then continue going straight until you see the other 7-11 and that's where you turn right. After the railway crossing you'll see a small bridge and you can sort of go either under it or over it so go under the bridge then at the stop sign turn left and drive another half-mile or so. Around there it will really smell like something is burning which is how you know you are almost at the right place, just turn at the third left and then again at the third right and then go up the hill and you'll see it right in front of you. Just remember that it's closed weekends so you'll have to go on Monday.

3. That depends, really, on why you were beneath the giraffe in the first place.
