Stepping on the star gets you surrounded pretty quickly. What if there were another way to alert the golems to your presence?

When I stab one of the golems that aren't surrounded, the others remain asleep (I thought that seemed strange). Am I using an old version of DROD or something?

EDIT: Nevermind...figured out that I need to install the latest patch. Thanks for your help Chaco!
