Today's useless observation: After his first jump, Chaco chose to jump twice. Had he instead chosen to bump twice, Beef Row would've died next turn. Here's a picture of the current situation:

Beef Row is marked, Chaco is the one that's jumped over three obstacles, and Jason is just below Beef Row. If Chaco had bumped, he'd now be in the corner of the path just inside the outermost ring of obstacles. On the next turn, this would've happened: Chaco moves one square up. Beef Row is unable to jump, being blocked upwards and rightwards by walls, leftwards by Chaco, and downwards by Jason, and he therefore dies. Jason then jumps leftwards.
Note that as soon as both Jason and Beef Row bumped and started moving around the outer path, neither of them could've done anything to prevent Chaco from killing Beef Row. I'm fairly sure this is the fastest death possible in this arena.
