I know there are already 3 topics on this room. I can't find a way to get out of the uppermost spiral after opening the trap door without the roaches killing me... plz help.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was an extra wall at the exit of the spiral?

So I need to restart the level and kill the golem in a place that blocks one of the sides? Is that the only way?

Not the only way, but yeah, that really helps. You can kill the roaches on one side of the spiral, then step around the corner to kill the rest.

EDIT:

Oh my goodness no! You don't have to restart the level, just the room. Sorry about that. :)
