I would like to thank all those forum posters who post, so I don't have to. You all know who you are.

Why, thank you, thank you, I do post a lot.

Well, nobody else was stepping up to the plate.

Anyways, I'd love to thank all the people who made DROD and this website, and for some more original "thank you"s: I'd like to thank tokyokid, Banjooie, and Neather2 for coming back (and bringing their memorable personalities with them), I'd like to thank Briareos and NiroZ for helping me with the animations not showing up, and I'd like to thank eytanz for teasing us with insider info from his beta copy of TCB. And to keep things interesting, we had Anson and DORD to poke fun at, and Chaco had that awesome hammer avvie, while Monkey changed his avatar 500 times. And Jeff_Ray... stands as a testament to non-alphanumeric names.

Who do I appreciate? Mostly I appreciate the people who have already been mentioned, but I'll mention them again anyway, because I have to give back this soapbox once I'm done and I want my money's worth out of it.

I appreciate everyone here who volunteers to keep the place running. The Rabbit, Rabscuttle, Chaco, and all those who comment regularly on holds and in Architecture (it's always a great feeling to get feedback!). NiroZ, and noma, and Elfstone, and the rest of the people who find ways in Contests and elsewhere to make the forum interesting outside of DROD. The coders putting in time to keep new versions of the engine coming and fixing them afterwards.

I appreciate the architects who have worked to assemble the real reason to buy DROD - not the official holds, but the wide variety of often superior holds in the Holds board. Not just the "big names" that keep putting out holds that force me to learn new tricks for both puzzle solving and creation, but the new voices - mxvladi, lopsidation, cheese obsessive, and others - who bring new ideas and styles to the game.

I appreciate everyone who keeps the quality of the posts here a few orders of magnitude above the typical game forum, from the surprisingly large cohort of PhDs down to the kids who write with an outsized level of maturity - both groups know who they are. That's the majority of you.

Outsized level of maturity? I don't know whether that's a good thing or not, since Lamkin thinks that Monkey and I are quite silly...

Anyway, thanks Dischorran, for testing my hold (which, by the way, I intend to make a full 25 levels), and thanks mxvladi, for testing my hold (have you seen Tritian level yet?), and thanks Monkey, for sticking up for me in the infamous Ignore This Thread thread, and thanks Elfstone, for volunteering to review my soon-to-be-created YouTube audition video on my purty fiddle, and thanks NiroZ for great contests, and thanks Briareos, for H&S, and thanks Lamkin, for being a great friend (heck, you could be my uncle :-O ), and thanks Jatopian, for being you, and thanks Robobob3000 for introducing me to NaNoWriMo, and thanks ebony, for your beautiful fractals, and thanks eytanz, for all your RPG work, and thanks Oneiromancer, for crazy evil rooms, and thanks Larrymurk, for Museum of Ooze, and thanks CuriousShyRabbit, for the People's Choice Awards, and thanks gamer_extreme, for Illuminations, and thanks Chaco, for [insert floods of pages of good stuff here], and thanks mrimer, for not getting too mad at my temporary insanity, and thanks noma, for a wonderful movie, and thanks Tuttle, for not copyrighting your Registry post ;) , and thanks Architest, for some nice, easy holds, and thanks RRodgers, for letting us post all these thank yous.

Thanks to everyone not mentioned. I mean it! :w00t

Wow, I'm glad this thread was actually put to good use! I would like to thank everyone who posted here, and all those who put effort into ensuring things run smoothly. :thumbsup

On a side note, it seems that there are a lot of kids on this forum. I am also technically a kid. Sort of. Within a few months I will become 17, and I can literally feel the year being subtracted from what I may call the rest of my life. Aging is a sad process...

Appreciation week is almost over, so if you have appreciative things to say, do so now. Of course, nothing stops you from posting after the week is over.

I celebrated my 17th birthday at a military academy without any friends or family, so I'm sure things could always be worse, huh?* :P
I'm reminded of one of my favorite quotes from the film American Beauty:
"Remember those posters that said, 'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'? Well, that's true about every day...except one: the day you die."

Gerry JJ is the man who created the huts in TCB and all of the beautiful new art featured in RPG 1.1. I want us to work together for years!

Thank you all, for making this a great online community to be involved in.

And now that Chuck Norris has arrived as Beethro's new sidekick, I'll be smiting roaches with the best of them. :P

My turn for thankies! :)

I thank Erik and Mike for making this awesome series which is at the moment pretty much the only game I play. :P

Next, I'll thank Chaco for making awesome DROD holds and a RPG hold I've been hyping about ever since it came out (ask Chaco, he'll tell you. :P)

I thank all the people who made very good RPG holds too: Nuntar with Nobard's Hold, 12th Archivist (Break Out Of Jail), and a few more that I don't notice as much, but are good nonetheless.

*cue music*

And finally, I'll thank everyone for being so welcoming, and despite all the things that happened between the time that I joined and now, for helping me with holding back my impatience (bad, bad impatience! :P), and those who helped me all the way through. Thanks, everyone. :)

Good guess, but the Mad Hatter still smiles upon your soul. ;)

Actually, I stopped going to school when I was 15... My grades weren't as good as they could have been, since I was programming too much to be bothered to study. I still met my personal standard, which is >= 90%, but I feel it could have been better.

Say, I wonder what the name of that story was, you know, with the three bears and that girl... if only I was better at remembering names.

Oh and I appreciate Stephen4Louise and Snacko for being the wonderful people they are.
