okay so for one, looking in this thread and seeing ourselves from 2017 is like getting flashbanged. like that's an entirely different person. it's like i specifically just stared at the ship of theseus, and it is me.
at any rate, we do think that the "
pi"
idea holds a lot more merit personally, as given the infinite nature of pi, it's more a question of WHEN, not WILL, pi beat DROD. the main issue is honestly what to map what sequence of numbers to, as there's only 10 digits, yet 9 ways to move, and 2 ways to swing your sword. (and in some holds, one special key to do a bonus action.) so, theoretically, once you had that sorted, yeah, the only limit is how you choose to encode 11 (or 12) actions in 10 digits! ...though, you could also, of course, just get stuck with random noise that only happens to make progress through sheer happenstance when it usually only lingers around the same area, depending on how your control scheme turned out. (see: that pokemon emerald pi stream, that stayed in the starting areas for literal weeks at a time.)
