Well, I'm just sitting here drinking my customary second cup of well brewed Ceylon tea whilst reading through "
old"
threads (still catching up with what's been happening in the forum in the months I was absent). This is not a day for having my tea on the decking you understand. It's a misty, murky morning here - more like a November morning than August and pretty much representative of the kind of summer we've had in this part of the world - miserable! So much rain, cold and at times really very stormy. I go back to work, officially, on Monday (I've already been in doing some prep) and I feel as though I haven't had a summer at all this year - very disappointing.
Anyway I digress; as I said, I was reading old threads - have you ever done that? Have you ever sat down and looked back through old threads, perhaps ones you hadn't had time to look at properly when they were current, or maybe ones that you'd read and enjoyed but forgotten about? It is a very worthwhile exercise and, if I may make so bold, I recommend it to you. It is a delightful pastime, although it can become an aid to procrastination of course, which is probably not such a good thing.
Back to the threads though ( I get so easily distracted these days - I put it down to old age. Actually I put everything down to old age now!) Perusing old postings, I came across this very thread and it said 'Revival' in the title. "
Well!"
I thought to myself, "
how appropriate! My association with this site is experiencing a revival; what could be better than adding to a revival thread. It's not as though you're about to go rushing out to the garden to start digging up that bed that's needing cleared. It's a misty, murky . . . did I already say that? I think I did say that . . . . anyway sitting here at the computer drinking good tea and reading this Forum is a very pleasant start to the day."
So there it is: I'm revived and the thread's revived; now isn't that nice?
