In previous years an entry required two nominations in order to appear in the voting for a category. Why is that not the case for this year?
Edit: okay, so I see that last year it changed, but I still wonder why. We'll end up with categories bloated with "self" nominated entries. Is it just me who cares?

I think the Rabbit had a hard time rounding up enough nominations when setting the cutoff at two. It does seem that the public shaming aspect of self-nomination doesn't seem to have had quite as much of an effect this year, but there aren't actually that many of those. More than I'd expect, given that an entry whose self-nomination is its only nomination isn't going to win, and an entry whose self-nomination isn't its only nomination didn't need the self-nomination, but still not a huge issue.

Also, I'd like to nominate Pearls' "hypothetical" hold-in-progress for "best new hold LPed by Pearls". Because if it wins, then he has to finish it so he can LP it.

Now I am ashamed for not being ashamed of self-nominating.

I'd like to shamefully nominate myself as Dischorran.

Reminder! Nominations are due on April 15, that's 10 short days from now. If you haven't sent in any nominations, get to it! If you have, hey, send in some more!
