Hello there
After my return to playing counter strike ;p I had a nice (I think) idea for next drod
It could be fine parody of "300 spartans" ;p
I attached a test hold to show what am I talking about.
"You can do it with tcb" - Yes, and no, because in this game there could be commands like "stay back", or "attack with all your power", and "follow me", etc. (like in cs ;p)
Drod would be still a puzzle game, because you would have to lost as little of stalwarts, as you can (for score )
Also, you could set up in editor a level of intelligence for stalwart and enemies (with setting: max for stalwarts and min for enemies you would be able to make a battle spartans vs persians ;p)
So, what do you think about this idea? Post your opinions and ideas, too, of course

I'm not exactly sure what CounterStrike is. Blasphemy?

I thought it was an FPS (a genre I don't particularly like). Perhaps, though, an RTS could fit into the DROD world, speaking in the hypothetical of things that could be done after TSS. A Monster Wrangler could control the monsters in groups or individually to attempt to get them to specific locations, etc. Yes, I had the idea stem from this thread. At least, that would give the premise for a DRODRTS.

I like this idea, no joke. But instead of having hordes of Stalwarts and Hordes of Slayers rushing at each other, why not make generals, captains, majors, lieutenants, privates and recruits. 2 Generals, 4 Captains, 8 Majors, 16 Lieutenants, 32 Privates and 64 recruits maybe? That's 126 units altogether, instead of having them all do their own thing, ensure victory by giving them commanders. You could even throw some comedy into it: Gen. Knowledge, Maj. Setback, Pvt. Parts etc.

This isn't a feature request, it's an complete game changing request. And it's more of speculation than a request, so it should stay in General.

And for that matter, Samuel, your spinning eye belongs in Architecture.

Webfoot DROD doesn't exist anymore, the contract that Erik signed was denied by the company that helped him make it. The closest thing to webfoot is called DROD: Architects Edition which can be found on this page.

I think he was just expecting people not to like it, and since they did he thinks it may be ready for the next level.

It isn't, however: this is a great concept, but it needs some concrete ideas on how it will work. Any suggestions?

I think I was confused because the number of people who liked it seems to be "two". Actually, I may also be confused because I'm not entirely sure I understood it.
