I'll never get a complete sweep of the achievements with the current arrangement, since even if I can kill an Aumtlich, I'll never survive the Wraithwings on towards the Blue Key (need something like 2700 HP going in, since you'll lose 7/8ths of that to the Aumtlich, and then at least 6*56 HP to the Wraithwings). This was just to test whether I could get 5 Achievements without one of them being A Better Way (so that if you did make Better Way and Questionable Judgment mutually exclusive, you'd still be able to hit the current maximum Overachiever).

As for keys... let's see. There's 7 Yellow Keys, need 1 to get the Grappling Hook and 5 to get the current maximum of potions. That left me with one remaining, which I swapped for a Green Key in order to waste less HP running back and forth for Roach Eggs. I don't think I would've lost *much* from the Hot Tiles if I used the Yellow Key elsewhere, but not sure if I'd have enough for an Aumtlich if I could use a Yellow/Green Key elsewhere for another 1k HP. It'd be tight, at the very least.

Heh, wasn't kidding when I said it'd be tight. Made a copy of Washed Ashore and added a 1000 HP Potion on top of a Green Door in the far NE corner of 3N1E. I then tried my route, making a few more optimizations and using just about every trick I know of for this hold in order to save HP and potions (including only taking an Aumtlich beam for only 3 damage).

Escaped via the Rock Golem exit after having drunk every single potion in the hold, with all of the Achievements except A Better Way.

Had 2 HP left.

So, yeah, it'd be possible. It'd be *very* challenging though.

Welp, new version up top. Super-fancy exit now requires the grappling hook, and southern achievements adopt the overall hold score. Well, technically the southern achievements are unchanged, but adjustments to Tendry's stats happen in the northern achievement scripts instead of on room entrance.

Ran through and got a 5-point Overachiever as described in my last post. Three things you might want to look at though:

1) You left a testing path around the golems, meaning you can escape without killing them.

2) The Green Door is on the edge of the room, which works, but is slightly untidy. You can move it one square SW if you also move the Invisibility Potion SW to compensate. This shouldn't change any solutions.

3) You need to change the doors in Self-evaluation from Yellow Doors to Red Doors now that you can bring keys in with you. Since there's no Portable Orb in the hold, this should be safe.

Heh. Almost there.

Was overlooking the scripts again and managed to think of something else: Overachiever doesn't open up if the only Achievement you earn is Questionable Judgment.

Easy fix though: just need to get rid of the If statement in Overachiever. Just use the 'Wait until' instead. (You may want to check that the Overachiever character goes after the Questionable Judgment character though, so that both doors open on the same turn. EDIT: Went ahead and checked: it's currently the last character to run in that room, so as long as you don't delete any of the other characters and replace them, it should be fine.)

EDIT 2: Also, rereading the achievement descriptions, you might want to put some exception about the Knight Shield for "The Best Defense". Otherwise, I could see some confusion occurring there. (Maybe Wood and Bronze are considered substandard materials by Stalwarts? I dunno.)

This is what happens when a biologist tries to write code. Or scripts. Whatever. :)

Fixes posted. Seems more intuitive to forbid picking up the knight shield and adjust the Better Way text slightly.

No good. You placed the code in the script that checks that the player takes the Bonus Path, but you placed it *after* the Bonus Path check, when the player cannot possibly backtrack, and also after they've probably already picked up the shield. Your best bet is to seperate the checks into two different characters.

Rest assured that each new revision makes me try ever harder to break it. Didn't think I was going to do it this time.

Then I realised that Warmonger and Charity are the only achievements that never lock their doors. And, well, the existence of Greckle Gates means that 0 GR is possible. Which leads to (lack of) Charity killing you. (At least Warmonger is safe though.)

(Yes, I know it would've been a lot easier if I'd noticed a lot of these things about 5 or so revisions ago... aheh. Sorry ^_^;)

That said, after having gone over the hold so many times, I think we're about good. I mean, there's only so many different things in the hold that could possibly have something wrong, and I think I've gone over everything twice by now, so if anything else is lurking there, it's *really* well hidden.
