Sorry for bumping up my own thread, but I thought this quote funny enough to mention it.
We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.

Question is at this point... can a baby truly doom a yam? Or is it just a question of allowing such a thing to occur?

What if the baby is not moody but the yam... is? May the baby still doom a yam? Ethically speaking...
Well, yes, and it doesn't even need to be moody, just hungry... or near a trash can.

Everybody's heard:

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. TEACH him to fish, and you feed him for the rest of his life.

But, I've always preferred Terry Pratchett's version:

Build a man a fire and he's warm for a night. Light a man ON fire, and he's warm for the rest of his life.

Give a man a fish, and he'll come looking for you when he is next hungry. Teach a man to fish, and you just ruined your consumer base.

I believe you're a kid. Adults have a nerve against kids cursing. :(
Why, I don't know.
BTW, I wasn't here yesterday because my internet connection was down.

I have no concern with cursing not matter how filthy, given the correct context.

I don't have too big of a problem with cursing (well, less than I used to), as long as the context is appropriate and it is used sparingly in such contexts.

It's possible the issue in this case is cursing another person, which is generally much more offensive than just including vulgar language in one's speech, and really has no place here.

I actually find people who curse a lot (like those who manage to put a curse in between "un" and "believable") more offensive than those who only curse at certain things/people - for people who use it a lot, it's just really irritating to me, but for people who don't, then they will use it as a term of genuine anger.

I like this version better:

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. But TEACH him to fish, and his wife will never forgive you.

I don't have much of a problem with cursing as long as I have a Bard, Cleric, Paladin, Sorcerer or Wizard in my party... :D

That's what I was trying to say, only more subtle.

"The identity of the Official whose alleged responsibility for this hypothetical oversight has been the subject of recent discussion, is NOT shrouded in quite such impenetrable obscurity as certain previous disclosures may have led you to assume, but not to put too fine a point on it, the individual in question is, it may surprise you to learn, one whom you present interlocutor is in the habit of defining by means of the perpendicular pronoun."
- Sir Humphrey Appleby, in Yes Minister.

And yes, all that above does just mean "It was me."
