I just conquered The City Beneath! Yes! It only took me seven months of hard work. The Abyssian Fortress was horrible, but just a few days ago, I finished the level. Whizzed through Upper Lowest, and spend a few days on Lowest Proper. The ending was good, though I would have liked a bit more explanation, and the movie and credits were neat.

I loved almost all the levels except for AF and some of LP. Now for mastery! Yes, I do know where the master door is.

I know exactly what you mean, AF was cool at first, but the sheer amount of tarstuff got on my nerves after a while. I'm going for mastery myself... just over 50% done, so we're both aiming for the same goal :)

Oddly, I didn't find LP to be a problem, it was Upper Lowest that annoyed me.

:P AF was NEVER my cup of tea. But you have to conquer TCB. That's the rule. How could you else call yourself a DRODer?

I guess I'll have to learn how to handle gel one day, though, since it keeps popping up in the holds I want to play...

Took me three years.

Granted, there was a bit of a gap in the middle :P Played AE until I got stuck on level 15, gave up. Came back to it at the beginning of this year (as KDD 2.0) and worked all the way through.

I also took a break with Beethro's Teacher and TCB.
But then, you find some courage and go through it all the way.
and now I mastered all 11 official holds off DROD

I'm afraid I gave up on Beethro's Teacher. It's a good hold, but it's way way too hard. As in so hard that you lose motivation for it.

I think you are underestimating the human capacity for growth and learning. Who knows what you'll think of Beethro's Teacher in 6 months or a year? :)

That's what I did, and I also played 3 or 4 rooms step by step with a demo :blush , because they where to hard.
But trust me it gives you a satisfying feeling if you mastered it (and specially: mastered them all)

Did you master Perfection? if so, then you should be able to master Beethro's Teacher too.

"Time brings advice" (it's a dutch saying I translated litterally, but I don't know the English variant) :D

Well, the German one would be "Kommt Zeit, kommt Rat" (literally "Comes time, comes advice", aka "Time will tell") - not that I'm sure this is going to help much... ;)
