×Both of them will keep following you. There's no way around that. By "park" he just meant that they could be standing there on the spike turn. The manipulation required here is tricky, but you have so little leeway that it actually makes things a little easier - your options are very limited. Remember that you can stun them for a turn by shoving them.

×You have to use some pretty precise manipulation to get at the lowest of the safe spots in the middle while one baby comes from the north-west into the square above you and a stunned baby wakes up on the third square, where you stand in that picture: all that on the turn the spikes come up. There's really not a lot of room for leeway on the manipulation, I think there's pretty much only one order of movement to pull it off.
