In Deep Hold, level 8, 2S1W, I placed 10 mimics on 10 successive turns killing the 10 roaches at the bottom, then waited a turn (no killing) and didn't get a 10 combo. This is somewhat unintuitive to me. I realize that there is a sort of in-between-turn between stepping on the mimic potion and placing it, but I don't think that ought to break the combo streak.

It has absolutely no bearing on the game at the moment, but if combo doors are implemented, it'll be an odd little exception.

Actually, I think that may be a useful little quirk. However, suppose Beethro kills a roach at the same time as he steps onto a mimic potion. He then places the mimic so that it kills a roach. Would the combo count be at 2?

one time with mouse and one time with my arrow keys.

I am forced to agree that this is a bug. Mimic placement shouldn't break combos.

I don't think I'm whining about it. I acknowledged that it has no real bearing on the game at the moment, but that if combo gates get implemented (they seemed like a popular request on the feature request board), then mimic placement WILL have a bearing on the game, and this issue should be addressed.

Thank you, stigant, for the demo room and pointing out this issue. I've fixed this so moves spent placing doubles don't end combos. This will be in 4.0.2.
