Upon getting into the area surrounded by briar, I worked my way around the golems counter-clockwise, smashing walls and letting the golems out to the wall level as I went. By the time I was done with two sides, I was close to being able to move in one row, which is pretty much what you need to keep doing.

Remember, you don't have to kill all of the golems yourself -- the briar will get them. All you really have to do is break down the wall and get out again. In practice you will need to kill most of the golems in any case, but if you have to leave one stranded it's no big deal.

×went clockwise, broke the first three walls and the bottom half or so of the fourth, and then went in. As long as you leave enough of a gap so that you don't block it with golems as you press inward, the more golems you can get where the wall used to be before the briar pushes inward, the better off you are.

×I first killed two golems at (15,11) and (14,11)

×Then I generaly traveled south while breaking the wall and replacing it in the process by a wall of dead golems

×Then traveled in east direction breaking the wall and killing golems as far south as possible

×Then killing 3 golems at the following : (22,18)(22,19),(22,20)

×Then turn sword SW and run to NE breaking the reamins of the eastern wall

×Then killing 5 golems on the north (four of them insrtead of the north wall) while moving towards east

×Then moving into (18,11) just before the briar catches beethro
