When you are scripting, and doing a cut scene, and have a lot of speech or action,(Movement, Sword Turning, Etc,) you have to estimate the time of all speeches or actions together to make the correct amount of turns.

What about if you could automatically sync with that time-frame so you didn't have to estimate, and test, and test again? Here would be an example script.

Wait for entity at 21, 28 to 22, 31
Cut scene: 275
Speech Beethro: Okay.
Speech Beethro: Seems reasonable.
Speech Goblin : Good. Then it will be that.
Sync with speech: 11 turns
Move to 12, 16
Disappear
Cut scene: 0
End

Well, I don't know about if you ever had to estimate, test, and test again. But I have. And it would really take some time off of scripting.

I don't really see the point you're making. Right after the cutscene command one specifies the number of milliseconds per turn, so between that and the milliseconds entered in speech delay synchronization shouldn't be too difficult.

Except the speech command didn't specify how long each speech was. If it did, then you might be able to add it up and see how many turns it would take. But it didn't, so you'd have to test how many milliseconds each sentence was.

There's a solution :P Have voice acting! That way you know exactly how long each speech is, just look at the soundfile.

Then what do you think the little milliseconds box is for?

Oh! I thought that was to add milliseconds, now I know that it is to set the time of milliseconds! Sweet!

As for the voice acting, I don't have any holds that need or have voice in it. So that's not going to work.

Try it like this:
Wait for entity at 21, 28 to 22, 31
Cut scene: 275
Speech Beethro: Okay.
Speech Beethro: Seems reasonable.
Speech Goblin : Good. Then it will be that.
WAIT11 turns
Move to 12, 16
Disappear
Cut scene: 0
End
