Another pet suffering because of DRoD. When Arthur put his head down on the keyboard (with a sigh) he triggered the chat screen. He had nothing to say us.

My birthday present. (Planned, as "surpise" pets are rarely a good idea.) Some of you may recall we lost our cat Rodney just over two months ago. We had recently arrived at that point when you're ready to think about getting another pet, but since my husband /says/ he's allergic to cats (I totally think he's faking it ) we decided to get a dog. We already have two, so what's another pack member? Meet Ozzie the Labradoodle! (And happy days, the other dogs are totally enamoured with him, which really surprised me since they are both senior citizens.) Yay, it's a puppy!

My dog: the paradox: this week's comic at The Oatmeal is a bittersweet coincidence for me today. Until last night, you'd have a hard time knowing my dog Bailey was ill; she greeted each day with so much spirit and enthusiasm. But this morning my energizer bunny dog lost her fight with stomach cancer. She was 15 years old and my vet called her a "miracle dog" because a dog her size and pedigree has a life expectancy of about 12 years. I wish we could have had another 15 years with her. Anyone who brings a pet into their lives knows that this horrible day will come, but they bring us so much joy we accept that. Or at least don't think about it. Give your furry friends some extra loving today. I'm going to miss my "explosive paradox".

Anyway these are my dogs, the white is an italian shepherd, the other one is a mongrel, both of them are female and they enjoy destroying our plants xD Also the little one continuosly barks for every strange thing she sees or smells; fortunately she also found many vipers so it's good that she barks

I feel as though this mingling of dead pets with living pets detracts both from our respect for the dead ones and our joyous appreciation of the living ones.

A few days ago my beloved tomcat Leon was (probably) killed in a fox trap.

Well, he was not my cat but he spent almost every night in my bedroom
