You can press TAB to remedy that.

EDIT: On an unrelated note, I just downloaded the 2009 expansion pack and found that some of the hints in the three intro levels (entitled April, June, and September) appear cut off.
Hm, I guess I'll have to fix that at some point :)

That's useful to know, but if a player exits and thus no longer exists, shouldn't it automatically move to the next one?

Or, maybe there should be an indicator showing how many players there are. :P

That's what should happen, yes. It usually does; I don't know why it doesn't in this case.

I'll soon be posting the level it happened in (I think it was Vault of Eternity), so you could look for yourself if you want; all you'd have to do is remove a piece of wall blocking exit to the left from the triangle portal.

I was just glancing at the main help in SubTerra 2 (the one with Quick Help at the top), and noticed that the sorcerer icon was used in place of the player 2 icon and warriors are called slimeys.

In the equivalent for SubTerra, the player 2 icon is replaced with a blank.

Huh... Weird. My phone sent me a notification of "new messages" but it turns out the posts were 10 days old. :-O I'm glad to see you guys still post here, though!

Actually Radiant, I had a thought occur to me - the posting volume here is rather low, and your games seem fairly obscure outside of a few gaming circles... have you ever thought about publishing them to a digital system like Steam??

Thought about, yes. Seriously considered, no not really. But it's a good idea. Does Steam even accept freeware games though?

That's good. I appreciate your suggestion and will look into this (having recently upgraded to a new computer that can actually run Steam :) )

I've always thought you should have been charging for them anyways. ;)
Yeah yeah, I know you say it's not how you'd like to operate... :?

Back when the game was a shareware, I bought it. And I'm glad I did, because the game is great. And no, I'm not gonna ask for a refund. :P

Hell yeah!

Now, this was back when you were on Spiderweb's place and I didn't even know the difference between you and Avernum, being that this was quite some time ago, probably 2004.

I didn't have paypal or access to a credit card at the time, but being 14 at the time and growing up on Chip's Challenge and the like, I always watched the demos and looked at all the cool levels I couldn't play. I never found the hardmode exits on the first row back then, but I could beat everything else on hard, and I found all the secret levels that I could (it was just the first row iirc).

But I got a lot of enjoyment out of it, but sadly I think I've played it beyond the point of liking it. :(
