Game crashed after i completing a level "Somewhere Under the Ocean"
When i click "Restore" on the menu and click this level - game crashes.
I play on MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
OS: MacOS Big Sur

I presume you purchased the game on Steam?

If so, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Steam version on Mac just doesn't work. However, the team are generally happy to supply those with the steam game with the CaravelNet version (which doesn't have any issues like this). This is not a great solution but it is better than having a game which doesn't work. Hopefully one of them will see this, but if not, maybe drop mrimer or Schik a PM and see if you can resolve with them through that channel.

There is a DROD update slated to come out pretty soon, not sure how that will work with Steam etc, but does anyone know whether this bug is going to be addressed in the latest update?

Yes, I bought the game on steam. Up to this level, everything worked for me ...
I also bought DROD Gunthro and the Epic Blunder on Steam and it hasn't caused any errors yet. Even though I didn't go there much.

As far as I'm aware there are no issues with GAtEB, so you should be absolutely fine with that one! It's a shame that Mac people have had such a negative experience with the Steam version of TSS but fingers crossed you'll be able to get the CNet version soon.

It's not so scary. The main thing is that the game is cool!
I played DROD 10 years ago but forgot the name of the game. I just remembered that there a knight kills cockroaches. So I tried to find a game using this information =) Nothing came of it and I gave up trying. Then interest resumed again. And so in a circle.
And 10 days ago, I remembered that I learned about the game for 10 years through a review on the site (of course, it has long been gone) BUT I managed to find an archived version of that site. There I found a referent. And after hundreds of reviews, I found the right one!
That's the humor that's out now Dying Light 2. And I bought it. But I play DROD and very happy

There should be a new DROD version, 5.1.1, coming at some point in the (hopefully) near future. While I'm not a Mac user, according to Mac users, the problem should be fixed in that version.

It might be possible for you to temporarily use a beta build of 5.1.1 to process, although that may not work if you're on the Steam version.

DROD stores data in /Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/Caravel/drod-5_0/

You might try restoring that folder to an earlier version (with Time Machine) or delete it and reimport your player profile.

If you have macOS Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey you might want to wait and run the new version 5.1.1 when it comes out. In the meantime you can try out an alpha of 5.1.1, or run the Windows version using CrossOver.
