Webfoot DROD is identical to Architect's Edition, essentially. AE has all the levels that Webfoot DROD does, plus better graphics and sounds. It also has checkpoints, which I guarantee you would not want to play through AE without.

The only thing about Webfoot DROD that's better is the music.

So download Architect's Edition. Or buy King Dugan's Dungeon 2.0!

I don't know why it said 25 monsters, because it was only the 14 or so in AE. There is no gameplay content in Webfoot that isn't in AE.

Only an opinion, I disagree with you there. Apart from the piece for the Cliffs theme (level 3, 14, 18) I prefered all the AE music.

I'm also fairly sure you can turn off checkpoints in AE, do that and replace the music with Webfoot's music and the games are practically identical.

No, because there is a timer in Webfoot, where if you don't move for too long, it's like you pressed 5.

I've never tried it but I've heard playing with that feature on made the game unplayable.

There are a few interface differences, and a few options like the aforementioned timer that changed. There are also some very minor changes to monster behavior that affect the solutions a few rooms. But there are certainly no monsters in Webfoot drod that are not present in AE or anything like that.
