Here's a little thread for people to tell us about dreams involving DROD they have had.

I don't generally have memorable dreams, so it's no surprise I don't remember any dreanms involving DROD. I do remember, when I was just starting to get into DROD, that I used to kind of involuntarily go over various fighting patterns in my mind just before falling asleep. But no matter how much I replayed (in my head) some backstepping tactics etc. I had just discovered, I never had dreams about them that I could remember. Which, come to think of it, is not such a great loss. DROD is more fun awake after all.

Now, how about you? Do you ever dream about DROD?

I've dreamed about DROD once. It was an odd little affair - I wasn't so much dreaming about the game as the sound effects involved in it. I remember walking along a long corridor with several of the sounds bouncing around randomly - the monster hit sound, the death cry of the Slayer, the "Keep Running Delver!" soundbite.

Not directly dreamed of drod, but it has influenced a dream

I have. Twice actually.

Both dreams were rather similar, they involved me playing the new version. There was one for JtRH and one for TCB. Mostly beethro just ran around a grass field with halph running after him. I think at one point it switched to me running around a grass field trying to save my brother. There was also some sort of conspiracy and a character not unlike Gary from pokemon. And I'm not making this up.

I had a DROD-related dream too. Well, -ish. Once I hallucinated DROD.

Once, when I had thermal illness, I couldn't sleep. So, random fragments of my memory were jumping in my head (you know, state that is almost hallucinating). One of those fragments involved Beethro hitting an orb. Don't remember anything else, though.

I had this dream ages ago. It was top-down like the real thing. Really strange.

Yes, the same. I became obsessed with JTRH. I loved it, but by the end I was really eager to be done so my mind could let it go. Now I picked up TCB over the weekend and its started all over again. Every night I see patterns of cutting tar. Two left one right repeat. Yikes!

I've had dreams involving DROD for a couple of years now. They're a lot more frequent than I'd like to admit, but I guess I play intensively a lot more than most (as in "in order to optimise").

This last week has been my quietest time for 2 years when it comes to playing DROD. I think I've only racked up 5 or 10 hours in the last 7 days. I still optimise crossing roads and moving objects, but the technically optimised dreams have become sparser.

2 years ago I stopped playing for about 7 weeks and by then the dreams had stopped. I'm using the spider lull to hopefully get back to that innocence of mind again.
