Poems about the game. People writing poetry. I lack this talent.
- January 2004 - Master Map Submissions
Like miniature Christopher Columbus', these brave explorers set out to discover and map the world that Beethro lives on.
- March 2004 - The Eleventh Hour
One hold. Nine rooms. This competition challenged smitemasters to complete a hold in the quickest time possible.
- June 2004 - Songs of the Eighth
While they may not be Tom Jones calibur, these brave souls wrote and, in most cases, sang some homemade lyrics to songs found in various DROD games. Check them out!
- July 2004 - Least Number of Moves
One six room hold was issued, a large set of ridiculously low room totals followed. Check out the challenge between the most efficient smitemasters!
- December 2004 - The Unfortunate Architect
Can you imagine how hard hold building would be if you didn't have unlimited resources? Well, fourteen people experienced that in this contest!
- April 2005 - The Secret
As a fresh start to the brand new DROD game, Erik made people search for an answer to an intricate puzzle hidden inside the game itself.
- June 2005 - Room Mosaic
Detecting rooms that never existed based on minimap images.
- August 2005 - DROD Film Festival
The Sundance Festival of the online world, forumnites were challenged to make a movie inside DROD!
- September 2005 - Golden Pie
Getting people to the mic may have been hard, but at least they didn't have to sing like the last audio contest we did!
- October 2005 - Smite to the Death!
A bloody deathmatch battle between 57 players!
- December 2005 - Hermetic Puzzles
Can you make an relatively small, simple image into a complex puzzle?
- January 2006 - Limited Resources
Roaches don't grow on trees! These participants were only given a certain amount of elements to build a hold!
- February 2006 - Deflectomundo!
Solving grid based puzzles by bouncing beams off mirror. I'm sure if Aumtlich played games, they'd love this.
- March 2006 - A Very Ad-Surd Contest.
What better way to spend time than to advertise something that's free? I'm still disappointed that no one did jingles.
- June 2006 - Tiny Jokes
Nothing motivates people more than funny posters around the office. Especially one with a grey background and the word "Creativity" in the middle.
- July 2006 - Stories of You
For a change, people were challenged to have a video game character enact something in their own lives. Talk about interactive entertainment.
- October 2006 - Holds Al Dente
One of the most popular contests - architects were told to make a hold that could be played in a single hour. Pefect for people like me with short attention spans!
- November 2006 - The Grand Audition
Nothing's more fun than contests that let people sparkle with their real voices....especially when it's recording parts in an upcoming game!
- December 2006 - Beauty over Brains!
In the spirit of the holidays, participants were challenged to make a castle that would be fit for a king.
