Using the build in this post, mimic swords seem to very briefly flash pink when they turn around. This is barely visible during play, but much less brief and more noticeable during demos. I've attached a demonstration hold to this post, and will put a demo in the next one, which is showing the effect for me.

EDIT: I've seen the same thing for guards and stalwarts, so this is possibly a thing with any non-Beethro sworded entity.
