"Welcome to Flip Casino, where skill rules over luck!"

Thanks goes especially to Xindaris for helping me set up the main script here. Me being the utter dummy when it comes to scripting stuff in DROD, this took considerable effort to get working properly. Feedback is always appreciated!

Hey, I somehow missed this when you first posted it. Pretty neat scripted element you have. These are somewhat reminiscent of trapdoor puzzles, but at the same time very distinct from those.

My first impression from the entrance was that this was going to be an element that didn't synergize with other DROD elements and that you were basically creating a new game (The hold Beethro's Dream by disoriented goes this rout and is definitely worth checking out.) But the next few rooms definitely show that you can have this interact with other DROD elements in interesting ways. I particularly liked the idea of blocking roaches with these in 1S1E, though it could be developed more than it is in that room.

At any rate, this seems super cool and look forward to a fully developed hold with it. I would encourage you to consider putting some easier (or even trivial) puzzles towards the beginning so that players can get used to the new element and slowly develop the techniques required for it. I actually found The entrance room here to be the most difficult one. Demos are attached, though I don't imagine I did anything unintended. You can see I wasn't very efficient, and only started to catch on to the techniques required to manipulate the state of the cards towards the end.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll add some more beginner's puzzles in. Also, I'm starting to think of additional ways to play around with the element (made a modification to make it work properly in conjunction with brains both when light and when dark, for example), and I already have 2 additional levels planned to focus on a couple other card type ideas I had. I'll put the first of those 2 in preview B when the time comes, then put the 3rd in preview C if the scripting modifications needed for it works out (the idea's in my head, just not on file yet).

One thing: Be very careful if you're using "brain pathmap obstacle" commands. There are some unresolved bugs with those. I..think turning the pathmap obstacle on/off when it turns into a dark "obstacle"/a light "non-obstacle" should work correctly, and the problem is just with things that move around, but you should test just to be sure. (Presuming you want a card that's step-on-able to not be considered a brain obstacle)

Right, that's exactly how I had handled scripting the brain-visibility changes. So in essence, with how the script looks for me as of now:
- The card becomes brain-visible immediately after the script starts reading from the dark state loop rather than in the Up/Down labels.
- The card becomes brain-invisible again immediately before going back to the Up/Down labels.

And it works perfectly fine from what testing I've done.

Edit - Just realized I forgot the End command for the new challenge script, so I'll make that modification real quick...
