Shortly after I finished and published Xindaris' first hold, I began work on a "
sequel"
of sorts, with the same kind of format and some new interaction ideas to focus levels on. Work chugged along for a while on it, stalled, went off and on, and now it's almost entirely off.
What I'm attaching to this post is a
partial hold with lots of rooms but also lots of missing pieces and incomplete rooms. What I'm hoping for is some help deciding what rooms and levels to sort of pull apart from the project and turn into their own thing, or possibly the good parts to take and scrap all the rest to have some big-ish single thing to publish. For the rooms that are to be kept and published somewhere, obviously various improvements can and should be made.
That all means that the rooms need testing and in some cases demo production. I'm going to try and lay out what I THINK is complete and isn't, but honestly for some of this I can't remember; that'll be in the secret below:

×Level Select II: Sorta irrelevant
Just a hub level. The various rooms in the south area were "exit rooms" with very simple applications of the ideas in each of the "real" levels, and then there was going to be stairs to Fusion II after completing all the other levels, making it a kind of "final boss level". This whole thing is unnecessary if I split the individual levels into their own one-level holds; otherwise the simple rooms for the levels I DO use in a big hold will still be useful.
Flicker Brains: Mostly complete
1N was going to be a final puzzle to finish the level but I never really had a good idea for it. The rest of the level looks like it was finished, except I can't remember if I ever really got 2N1W to work the way I wanted to or not, I need to probably poke at it myself and/or see some demos to figure that out. There are some demos for this level but not all; in particular I know 1N2E is tough but has a solution, but for some reason I never made myself a demo for it!
Construction: Some good ideas and some big messes.
A level that I really should've made demos for when I built it, but didn't. I can't remember for certain whether I ever really finished building 1E. I know 1N2W is just an "idea draft" and I'm pretty sure 1N isn't done but it might be?
Time Slayer: Good rooms and/or nightmares.
To my knowledge this whole level is complete, except I should probably delete the blank room in 3S. But some of these rooms are really, really hard and possibly quite painful. I believe at this point I'm open to removing the ones that absolutely nobody will ever like.
Briar Boom: Pretty complete, missing demos.
I think I just need to cut the "idea rooms" that never really panned out and close things up, empty out the exit room 1N. There are some missing demos as usual for fairly tough rooms like 2E and 2W.
Aqua Flora: My favorite.
I even mostly have demos for this one, maybe even entirely. I think I just need to remove 4N1E (another blank room) and put exit stairs+no puzzle in the exit room 1N, and things should be golden. Probably just need feedback on the various rooms here and such.
Halph Baked: Mostly done.
Every room except for 3E is complete. 3E should probably be cut, because I could never really finish building the stupid thing. I think the idea is solid but the room is just too BIG in size for it to be practical to fully build, and I don't feel like fiddling with it anymore. Again, demos are missing, but I know for a fact I finished building everything except for 3E.
Fuselich: About 7 completed rooms.
The south row looks like it's full of incomplete ideas as far as I can tell. Again, no demos. Could use feedback and then probably I'd be able to release what's here.
Fusion II: 4-ish rooms swimming in blank space.
By far the least complete level. I like 1N although it is a bit of a nightmare, and 1S is the other one I'm certain I finished. 1S1W looks finished but I'm not 100% that it is; 1E was an idea draft I never tested to see whether it was solvable again, it's part "bad joke" anyway in the form of a callback to a room in XFH, so probably won't be included anywhere.
