Hi guys,

Just popping by to say what marvelous work and effort the Caravel team has poured into this edition of DROD! I have delved maybe two hours into the game so far, but I have certainly noticed a lot of polish (kicking myself in the shins for not purchasing the soundtrack with the game)

Thanks again Caravel team for creating another installment of my favorite game! This time I hope to not take a peek at the Hints & Solutions board when I get stuck!

This is perhaps a useless post, but it needed saying: this game is immensely awesome. I've lost count of the times I've marveled at puzzles, especially with new game elements—neither my involuntary "ooh, that's clever!" exclamations. And I probably haven't even completed half the game yet.

EDIT: Oh, and when I think of the architectural possibilities this all opens... I just have to lie down for a bit

The voice acting is great. I especially like the new A1 and the classic Beethro (Sten, right?), and the Critic is just outstanding.

Just wanted to say, since with that whole time token mechanic naturally Braid comes to mind for comparison (which I regard as one of the best puzzle games out there), TSS has really pulled off the whole <introduce a mechanic>, <explore it>, <move on, before there's no more things to feel clever about> thing I really value in a puzzle game (at least it has pulled it off up to the point my limited skills have allowed me to get to yet). On par with the best puzzle games out there, and I honestly don't understand how a game like this can't bypass that whole Steam Greenlight process.

Wow, just wow!

I'm still really early on in the Odyssey (for it will be so) but I've now seen the two major new monsters, and they are sublime.

Everything I'm seeing seems really carefully thought out, and although I'm still in the introductory phase of the game, nothing is completely trivial.

I love the little sting in the tail in several of the rooms, for example "Yes, you do have to get the goblin on the platform, but there's something else".

Hearty congratulations to all of you: this game deserves to become a classic of the genre.

p.s. Can anyone catch my reference of the opening sentence? Mr. Slinger is involved.

I believe that currently the game is just in the first week of release to mostly long term DROD players. There will be more of a press push when they want to do a wider release. The custom user-made holds are still available and free but are not bundled together yet. You will get a month of subscription and can download in-game. I don't know the list of suggestions, however.

On a side note, I bought the "deluxe" version and did not receive the music that I was looking forward to. Is that online yet, or do I have to wait a while?

It's a set of hold files which are installed to the \Data\Homemade directory under where you installed DROD. You can import them from the Play Game / Change Location screen in the menu.

I'd assume once 5.0.1 is finalised. It'll be a full install package rather than a patch because of the hold fixes, so better to let people download the updated version first up.
