Yes, people still use IRC, apparently. If you're one of them, join the #drod channel on the irc.freenode.net server (FreeNode)! We're right here and we're waiting for you!

The topic in #drod on freenode indicates "Deadly Rooms Of Death | The official IRC channel has moved! irc.gamesnet.net, #DROD | http://www.drod.net/" but for the last couple months gamesnet.net has been down. Is there another location where the DROD community participates on IRC? http://searchirc.com/ and http://irc.netsplit.de/ both show no channels for "drod."

I'm not sure if there still is an IRC channel but you can chat from the forums (live) at least with the right-most link (eerily called Chat).

If you have Caravel, you can also chat in-game - both chats link up and it's always good to have people chatting in there
