Seems like the contest is drawing to a close, and yet again life (laziness) has prevented me from doing an entry. I'll see if I can roll something out before it ends.

Well then, here's my late entry, titled "Two Ways In, No Ways Out." Not my best work, as I still can't seem to get used to most of the ST2 object set, but hey, it's an entry.

Also, while designing this level, I found a bug: When you go through a gate when the level is halfway through flipping, you get stuck on the other side of the gate, which then acts like a wall.

Good to see another entry.
I'll give it a try soon.

Also, considering the very small amount of levels made using flippers, there is probably a fair few as-of-yet undiscovered bugs concerning flippers.

My guess for why this happens is because the flipper has to reassign every single object to another location, and possibly to another object type during it's effect (most objects, like walls, are not affected by this part). Now, when the player goes through the portal, it's considered "in use" and its type does not change (though it's location does). Therefore, both portals should have changed, but in reality, only one of them changed, resulting in a mismatched pair. (though, I don't know the mechanics of how the game was made, this is my best guess.)

aaaanyways, here's my entry for July (finally! :lol). Its titled Golem Overlord, and the theme for this level is that you've found some myserious ruins. Ruins always have treasure in them... Too bad the guardians are still around.

That's all right. I made some of my best levels between 11 P.M. and 1 A.M., local time.

...and August is up.

Now that this is going steady each month, maybe we could draw in some people from the electronic games or hold forums? I'm not a regular at either of those, but perhaps somebody who is could give it a shot.

The thread should be renamed for August as well. The template is pretty fun to work with this month. :)

I just added a link in my signature on the Spiderweb boards. Hopefully it won't be seen as spam, especially since SubTerra was once hosted there.

Man, that was ages ago! Wasn't that when SubTerra cost money to register?

Yep. I didn't register it (I was flat broke at the time), and it was made freeware about a year after I initially found it.

While I'm a huge SpidWeb fan, I'm not much of a regular of their forums, as I've decided that until I have lots of spare cash, none is going towards games for myself....Though I might just get Braid, but I'll justify that by calling it a Christmas prezzy. :D

EDIT: When I try to download the template, I get an empty .SUB file with a size of 0kb.

Eh, I've seen weirder. When I first started designing levels, I had originally planned to title them all with puns.

That's a nice idea, and it's good to hear that Jeff Vogel is still around. I don't think I'd have been here without him.

I may not get a chance to vote on this one, since I'll be leaving soonish and won't be back 'til the 7th. I can certainly make a level, if I feel like it; it's only voting that's uncertain.

Posting it here. I hope it works.

The only other options I can think of at the moment are either use a different browser or download manager; or if your local library has internet access, go there and download it to a flash drive.
