I scored on 4 factors then divided them by 4 to get an average. The factors were: Fun, Theme, Puzzles and Percent Complete.

I played these in backward order so that is how the comments are laid out.
Trapdoor Maze: 1pt 100%done 1+1+1+1=4/40
What was the point? 1 room. Creativity and design [1] Puzzles [1] Finished too fast 5 minutes [1] Not fun [1].
The Exterminator Chronicles: 10pts Mine
I have had some ideas for a larger hold so I thought I would try some if them out here. After the submission time had expired I thought of a completly different way I could have gone. Isn't that always the way.
DROD Tutorial: 7pts 7+7+7+8=33/40
80%done at times up.
Interesting twist on tutorial idea, layout was nice, with some token design elements pointing to the theme [7] The puzzles were not that hard till 1N1E. That one just stumped me. I think you have to discount the tutorial area in the puzzle count. In total the puzzles that count were mostly nice [7], but not really fun. [7] It seemed I was stuck in the 2nd to last room so I never saw the finish got about 80% done. [8]
Confusing Hold 2: 7pts 3+10+10+4=26
33% done
The title fits. Because I had to stop halfway through the time I gave myself , this one had me thinking about it in bed at night. The next time I started I used some of the time to make a map and plan my attack, unfortuntatly that left me with very little time to play. I figured out the order for 2 rooms I think. I may be 1/3 done but I can't tell until I finish. I give it 33% done at the most.[2]. But I had a really fun time getting there. I like mazes while others do not so I gave it a high score for the fun factor. [10] The individual rooms were not the puzzle so much as the whole level so as to meeting the easy to med play it was fine [10] but not for the time alotted. As to layout, look or style there really was't any. It would have gotten in the way maybe, but not even a little eating theme mentioned, not dinning tables, just functional. [4]
Blorn Bridge: 8pts 7+10+8+7=32/40
Well I didn't finish but I seem to be over 70% done I think. [7] I got hung up in 2N1E it was a little tricky and I still have no idea what the symbols mean. This one was fun [10], very good puzzles [8] some maybe to tricky and there maybe too many, great design and artful layout, but not about the theme. [7]
Bagel Strike: 4pts 3+6+8+10=27/40
Lair of Evil 1N has no saves and was not fun, just proves I can't fight Stalwarts even when I find the way around back. Ok I figured out how to kill those guys but it was not fun learning. Found the secret rooms and finished. Mostly the rooms were just work and not that fun. [3] The lay out was O.K. but not too interesting and not about the theme that I could see. [6] Puzzles were a little too simple where it was easy and too hard where it was hard. [8] While I did finish [10] it was not that satisfiying.
Arcade Al Dente: 5pts 8+2+5+5=20/40
Lots of Script work wow, but the theme was Al Dente and I didn't see that except for the name. [8] But it was frustrating to not be able to skip around if you actually solved a room. A better layout using Secret Rooms might have solved this. This did look fun and the puzzles I tried were interesting, but less would have been best. I only saw 40% tasted 20% and only finished 10% [2]. Like I said, Wow to the script work, if this was a script contest I would have given you a 10 even though half the rooms I tried didn't seem to work right. That aspect took away some of the fun factor and some of them were just too hard. So I can only give a [5] for fun and [5] for puzzles.
World 4=1W I never figured this one out or 1E,1S and 1N I got they were fun.
World 1=1E didn't get it to work.
World 2=These were interesting but I didn't solve any. They just seemed too hard.
3 Course Hold: 8pts 5+7+10+10=32/40
I had alot of fun till I got to 2S the trick with the stalwart needed saves, more than one. This is like a cheap trick. It dropped the fun level way down. [7] The puzzles are a bit on the easy side until the cheap trick one, then the dessert level is just too easy. [5] I like the theme of the hold though it got a [10]. And I finished 100% even with the time spent on 2S in just under an hour, with some time to spare. [10].

I have been continually playing contest on the forum since Dec 2004. Having often been addressed as a he my new avatar shows that I am a "
Lady"
. And one with a very sharp sword, too.
I love the monthly contests but it took me a long while before I even placed. 21 contests in fact.
Virtual Burning Man was the first contest I took any place in and I got 1st, wow!. Yes, I have received my prize, a sweatshirt from the DROD store, and I love it.
It took 14 more contest but next I took 1st prize in Media of the Eighth Nov07, followed by a win in the Secret Santa 2007. Check out my entry:

Suddenly I was a winner but, still the goal of a winning hold based contest eludes me....
I keep trying so come and join me.
