I would like it if people could have hot keys to the different elements when they're in the level editor. Things could go a lot faster, if you can remember all of the hot key routes.

1, 2, 3, and 4 would control the tab you were in, and normal letters (that associated with the actual route end) would be the elements that would be selected.

Good idea, no?

What letter do we use for pressure plates?

Hold down P and select 1, 2, or 3 so you can get the pressure plate.

Hold down P and select B or R for blue platform, and red platform.

What about making it so that when you press a letter key with the mouse hovering above a certain element, the key becomes a hotkey for that element?

I like this idea! In fact, I liked it so much that Mike already put Ctrl + 1, 2, 3, and 4 in as hotkeys.

(Available in version 3.0.0 and up.)

Another option might be to make it so that pressing a letter cycles through all the elements on a tab that start with that letter.

I think it would be easier to let people assign their own hotkeys. I mean, if there was a knight, would you assign it 'K', even though that's the letter it starts with?

I'd assign knight to N, because K was taken by the king.
Okay, it's a groaner. Sorry.
