Can you verify the size of the file?

Does it say AE, JtRH or TCB?

There are different files for all of games.(Webfoot,KDD,JRH and TCB) Ae version is not there, though. It says that "File size is unknown" for some reason

Ideally, you shouldn't post about this stuff, because people may be tempted to go looking for them. Thanks for pointing this out, but you should delete this thread before people get ideas.

Well, everything gets pirated now and then, there is no way to avoid that. Better get used to it. Anyway, one should not forget that true Quality always prevails!

DROD has a strong community to rely on, thats the important thing. This product has so much love and passion in it, you just HAVE to buy it, in case you like it. No Copy Protection in the world could be better and more rewarding then a good game thats well worth every penny.

If you manage to unpack and remove checking code from the program, you are absolutely safe. The problems appear when you use dirty methods like CD emulators...

You'd have a fun time using a copy protection on DROD anyway; it seems just a wee bit tricky to do that sort of thing on an open source, cross-platform game.

There's always that rite of passage thing, though.

A good game doesnt have to have any protection. Thats my honest opinion.

Look at Starforce, in the beginning only "Dead by Design" Games used it in hope to make a few quick bucks. Their probably biggest game back then was Splinter Cell, but Ubi dropped them now aswell. Plus they did that really really really lame thing by posting a torrent to a game on their developer forum, because the coder has made his decision against the protection system.

Snacko mentioning Starforce is not reason enough. The thread then discussing copy protection proves that point. Snacko didn't even mention he knew of illegal hacking, *how* to crack legal software or indeed the fact he thinks DROD ought to be hacked.

There's a disussion about Starforce here, and there are several views on it here

I've linked it part way through as it was originally discussing Trackmania, the game, and then discussed their antiy-piracy policy. As you can see everyone contributed and disagreed, yet we had a *disussion* about it which was treated as such.
