My meta game consists of King's Cross once again. That place is the win.

Knightsbridge. A classic variant requires a classic opening.

Ooooooh... Aldwych. Dangerous move, as always.

I'm going for Marble Arch to set myself up for Irok's gambit.

Perfect. Marble Arch, being a triple-point whose name is entirely nouns, allows me to set up the Acton chain. West Acton. Crescent in 3.

I join the game and start with St. James Park. I know this is a quite defensive beginning but it will give me a lot of momentum later. It will also block Jasons Irok's gambit.

This game is going quickly! I think I'll slow everyone down by sending most of the players into spoon (bidding and overtrumping permitted) by use of South Kensington

Good move, good move. But you left yourself on the border of Krig. I'll push you over the edge with Wimbledon, denying you any builds this year and leaving you in Krig.

Hmm? Are you sure? If I recall correctly, the tennis nullifies any circii in this variant.

Yes it does, but it doesn't prevent me from moving to Euston. Crescent in one.

A Spoon Loop! I've never seen one of these alive.

Dollis Hill.

I wonder if we can capture it

I SOOO want to join this game to participate in a legendary Spoon Loop, but any move I can make on my first turn would render it impossible. :( I guess I'll have to be content enough to watch.

Well, there's always the option of going to Aldwych - I mean, it's a dangerous move, but it should get you into the game and preserve the loop.

Yeah, I guess being in a spoon loop is more important than actually winning the game. Aldwych it is then.

Casebier! If only you hadn't broken the loop, I could have moved to crescent with the propellision of Ezlo's Aldwych move. However, now I am forced to move to King's Cross just a few footsteps from where I am now in Euston. If the current conditions apply in a few moves, I can fly to Mornington Crescent.

Ah, but that's the thing? Will the current conditions still apply.

Leftward progression to Kilburn, drawing the rest of you into a partially elliptical system.

Casebier!! How could you!? That's a once in a lifetime opportunity! You almost never see the end of a spoon loop, and we might have done it this time because of the pressure building up in the northwest! You know how hard it is to obtain that in normal play!

How about the No-Nonsense Parisian? It's a good one where the rules don't have nearly as many loopholes as they do in many other variants. I'll start things off with Uxbridge.

Mmm. It's an elegant, simple ruleset. No circular progressions, no Huff gambits and the F, J and M positions can't be taken without breaking the no-norths rule.

Maida Vale to start the descending chain.
