Aww spoilsport! But I was afraid someone might say that. The links to the license on the official site don't work unfortunately. :(
Though it makes one wonder about all the freeware remakes which list "Thinking Rabbit" as the copyfight holder, while it is in fact Falcon co., ltd.

Back on topic: I like the lighting in the Uncturage :)

6. We no longer have to watch mimics and decoys (and others) being placed in demos! Whoop, there they are.

Briars are pretty good elements. They have so much potential!

Mirrors are also nice elements. They could keep the player on its toes by reflecting the sight of Aumtliches and Evil Eyes.

I like mirrors for having multiple purposes. That's clever stuff right there. In another game that would be two seperate elements. In DROD, because there is so much and they are inventive chaps, it's one.

Like wow, my hero. :P This is most interesting because I hear musical influences that Erik likes in the music he has done, and I hear very much the same. Some tracks made me think otherwise, but get this guy to do the next one!!! Honestly, hats off to Jon. Yes ,I like it that much.

There's another cool thing to do: click the character you play as. You'll hear voice clips from it! :D

So? With the stuff that we have available, we could probably create much more interesting levels...

Exactly. From the second room in the mirrors level, I wanted to show how fundamentally different just the presence of a sword makes a pushable object. I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen too much backlash on the forum yet about the mirrors (I hear there's been a bit of grumbling in the chat though) but maybe that's because we showed just how including them in DROD don't make it "just another pushable object game" and instead offer a whole new level of strategy. Well, I'm sure many people realized it before but we were all so against it that it wasn't until Mike finally bothered coding it up and we started making levels with it that we realized we enjoyed them.

Game on,

Just one thing: I don't have the full game yet, so I don't know of any existence of a "mirrors level"

There's no object that is dissapointing right now.

Though, the slayers only appear in a room with something that can kill them.

That would be mostly me (thanks!), except for 4N 1E and 5E. I'm actually planning on making a post saying who did what puzzle rooms, to solicit feedback, but I still need to compile the list and have it approved by all the architects.

Game on,

I was absolutely floored when I figured out what I had to do in 2N 1W of Abyssian Fortress. I must have spent about 5 minutes wondering what in the world I was supposed to do, when it just clicked and I proclaimed aloud "Oh my god that's ingenious!" 2S 1E of the same level is also a favorite, if only for the sheer novelty of it. So good!

Well, yeah. It's made pretty clear that they're not particularly good slayers.

The Speed Potion has real potential, and I really like the Ormite. By a very simple rule both of these elements transforms every other DROD element (monster) into something diferent. Kind of like the brain. Although I have to say that it fealt a bit pointless to lead goblins to trapped serpents. Ormite Breeding Grounds was the level I up until now enjoyed the most.

A smalish thing I really apreciate is the ability to go backwards and forwards in demos with the arrow keys. I am curently playing in the 2.0 engine (due to bugs), and I realized how much I miss this when I watched some of my demos.

Edit: Oh, my! CuriousShyRabbit is correct. Well... In that case it's a feature I love in both TCB and JtRH ;) It's just that I discovered it in TCB, so I asumed it was a TCB feature

I still play in 2.0 for the same reason, but demo thing works there too!

In 2.0, use 5 to stop the demo, 4 to step backwards in time, 6 to step forwards. Also, 8 speeds it up and 2 slows it down.

In 3.0 I really like how you can see the mini-demo play fast in the lower right corner of the demo screen. Often, that's all I need to see :)

You know, I keep meaning to say that there are a few thousand improvements to the editor that I love. Clicking to get a popup of obstacles/tokens/colors, rather than having to rotate through them! The fact that rotating through obstacle options doesn't reorient the direction of monster/arrow placement! Copyable obstacles and snakes! Being able to copy and paste scripting commands to and from the clipboard! The fact that copying a room region now puts the actual contents into memory, rather than just the coordinates, so that you can change the region you copied and not have it change what you're pasting! The fact that if you change custom-location speech, you don't have to reselect where the speech appears!

Seriously, though I've still got things I'd really like to see in the editor, there's a lot that's leaps and bounds ahead of 2.0's editor.

Man, I love Danforth Strout, and his office, a complete mishmash with the perfect touch: a skeleton in the trashcan. :thumbsup

My favourite new elements is adders and speed potions, hot tiles and ormites are pretty cool too. And actually, I like briars too, now that I understand how they works with pits and all that... I usually like rooms where you have to optimize something.
