They weren't talking about the music, though. They were talking about how terrible checkpoints are, as if making a puzzle harder to solve makes the puzzle harder. (Sounds counter-intuitive, I know, but think about it carefully.)

Well,i did a litle of expirement and tried to play without checkpoints.Have no idea what to say.Sometimes too hard,sometimes not hard at all!

Ah, ah - I didn't say checkpoints are bad; I said having the hardcore, no-checkpoint version is good. Checkpoints are, of course, better in most ways, but there's also value in playing without them.
And of course, Maurog did mention the music as one of his bullet points.
