I actually haven't tried it yet, but I've heard good things about it on TIGSource. Anyway, here's a recent obsession of mine...

(I want the name of this particular remake, not the original.)

Correct, your turn!

Sadly there's a shortage of other JSWO players currently, so I had to take the screenshot in single player mode. Here's hoping that someone will notice it now and try it out :)

Yeah, I've only played JSWO once myself (at one of the TIGS game nights) .. did play JSW a bit on my C64 when I was 10, though :). Great fun in multiplayer.

Anyway, new screenshot! Contains some blood (but that's okay; it's his job, see)

Perhaps in an alternate universe! Not in this one though. Sorry.

Anyway, I'm not sure if any new shots will help since the game is pretty much instantly recognizable by the first shot if you've heard of it, but hey, new shot below. It's suspicious!

Is it "I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream?"

It looks awfully familiar.

The game doesn't work on my computer, so I'm not playing any version... I just picked a screenie from the ones I found online and this was the one I liked the most.
I did read the story though, so you can imagine how I want to shoot myself because it doesn't work... :(

Maurog is correct. I downloaded the demo, and it's exactly the kind of old-school RPG I used to love...if my character would just move a little faster. Oh well.

I think I saw that on TIGS once, but it wasn't freeware so I never bothered. Magi something.
