[goodies] congrats, I did that too, but without the program or pm's (The hints were all in the thread Watch the bar 2), Don't hide only parts in the tags because it's annoying for those who haven't solved it, and if you want to check if the tags aren't broken, simply change 2 goodies the order to unsolve it.[/goodies]

Why did you do that for? Secret tag where it says you need to solve the riddle, where, in fact it does not hide anything! Well, and now to make this post worthy.

In my POV, the [goodies] tag should never had existed. A sub forum for people who have solved the riddle would be way better, and would not be subject to abuse.

I agree with NiroZ. The "goodies" tag is useful for discussing actual Riddle of the Bar spoilers; and there's a certain leeway for new RotB-solvers to post "wheee, solved it" in tags; but the last few hidden posts in this thread are

* Rowrow and Dolan42 discussing people faking the goodies tag ("Some people are getting modded down and pretending to do the tags...");
* Canadian_Army asking "How do I get the bar to give me points?";
* Lst6 saying "I hope the bar moves soon again".

Why exactly is it useful to hide these posts from the general DRODding public?

I think golfrman said it best: "don't forget the goodie tags! make it look like we're talking about something interesting!"

Yeah, guys, let's not be exclusionary here. Separating the forum into people with goodies access and people without by having entire conversations behind the goodies tags only leads to problems and makes it harder for the newer people to the forum to feel comfortable. Also, it really annoys people without the goodies tags.

I'd ask that you only put information that's related to the goodie riddle and its solution behind the tags (except if you're just screwing around with them - everyone does it) but please don't have full conversations behind the tags.

Timo, that award is earned by asking for hints over and over again (using the hint button). Not sure if it's earned in one level, or if you have to do it in many levels. (I looked it up, haven't gotten far enough to use hints, at this point.)

Anyway, to keep this bar-centric, any idea why the bar never gave me any rank/mod points? Has it simply stopped doing that? I clicked it fairly often, collecting my goodies, and not once did it give me anything. I even modded the bar up, to see if that would help.[/goodies]
