In case anyone else has a problem with the bar now.... try doing a hard refresh, and/or closing and re-opening your browser. There were some javascript changes. I have tested it on Firefox and IE, and it works for me on both of them. And it apparently works in Konqeror too.

Woohoo! Before, I used IE to click the bar, and Opera for normal browsing.
Now I don't have to deal with IE anymore!

Did you do the bolded instructions above? I had problems in Firefox as well (1.5 though) and a refresh made it work just fine.

I'm using FF 1.0.7 as well (under Gentoo Linux) and a hard refresh worked for me, too. Maybe you can try clearing your cache as well? (I didn't have to do this, but it's something to try.)

Do you use some sort of mouse gestures extension? I do, and since the rewrite, it's been necessary to temporarily disable it to click the bar. I do this by holding down the Alt key - same as when I want to select text.

I use firefox 1.0.5 and also use mousegestures 1.0.2

Both work just fine for me.

I don't see why it would. The number 66535 already requires 17 bits. Now, if you'd've said 65535 .. (Well, the answer is probably still no.)

I've clicked the bar a couple times in Opera (8.5, Linux) since the bar was made clickable, and it always worked fine here ..

Yay! I celebrated the bar working in opera (it definetly didn't work for me beforehand, never refreshed) by a bar-clicking fest, which resulted in a roach for my stack (of one) of bar goodies!

By the way, do the different bar goodies drop at different rates, or do they all have an equal chance?

According to Schik, no one goodie is weighted over any other. Of course, with a small sample size like we have right now (59 total given out) some goodies will seem more popular than others, but they all have an equal chance to drop.
