it's referring to the original 75% secret which was hidden on the site 10 percent points ago. it just continues to show that message to people because the secret is still out there to be found and there might be people who don't religiously read all the messages in this thread, anyway.

as for why it's frozen: in case people hadn't noticed, a couple weeks ago we started seeing a lot more maintenance of the 2.x engine by mrimer, and some more time consuming posts and contests by Erik... my guess is they're in a phase where "
most everything is done"
except that some critical path activity is preventing final beta testing. perhaps graphics or voice acting or level reports from the first-round beta testing... something which takes a month during which progress is difficult or not impossible to measure.
or maybe they just took a break. I mean, really. it's a job and occasionally people need to take a break from their job.
and Erik has to coordinate the next SmS cd, too. and this dang snake contest.
we're lucky we have a bar to be stuck at 85%. I'd relax. you know it's not coming out before September, because in September we get the "
last hold before the city"

) The things you mention take up an incredible amount of time. I wish I could say more, but that's about all there is to it. Take it from Erik and myself...we wish TCB had been done yesterday. It's frustrating for me to not be able to snap my fingers and have all the work magically be done. I'm sure Erik feels this way too.
