Much further now. New level demos included.

I will add the spelling errors in the list above if I have time (but probably not today), and leave the rest of this post for the rest of my comments:

Currently at the Phazon Mines 2N7W (boss room), and I think I will skip that one as I can't do the goblins part...

Artifact 7 at Tallon 2S5E is impossible to reach. I end up with 2 closed doors.

I went in Phendrana Drifts from 9S1E to 8S1E, but I forgot to open the lock so I was a bit stuck there...

I had a problem with Tallon 2S4E as well, but I can't remember what...

The note in the spaceship said that the Ice Beam is at 2N5E, but it is in fact at 2N7E. Please do not remove the spaceship, it is a quite good hint device. Or you can do it like Metroid Zero where they give you the next location you have to visit somewhere along the way.

Oh, and I think this is one of the best holds I've ever played :) But I must say, I still have some problems with some of the secret rooms (even if most of them are quite easy).

Thanks Tim,

I noticed in a few of your other demos, the room just completed when you entered it, and no moves were recorded.

Also, is there another way to just import and view the demos one after another, or do you have to go into the build screen, and indivdually play each one?

I made these 1-turn demo on purpose. It means that the room can be considered completed in one turn. Usually, these are not the most interesting rooms anyway. If I need to record scripted rooms demos without any monsters, I'll have to do it manually. Usually I'm too lazy for that (sorry).

No. But this is how I watch them: restore to each of the level (which room does not matter), Press F6, import the level demo (make sure you check the "view all demos in level" box), watch the demos from top to bottom (and skip the 1 turn demos).

PS. You might also get problems with my demos when you changed the room after I recorded the demo.

This is probably my last update, as I've played every room now.

* I have found all the artifact scroll, yes I can even read Artifact 7 now, but I did not like the way I can get at it. I would rather killed the goblins first :)

* The spelling list has been updated. See the post on the previous page.

* I really did not like the idea that you cannot go back when you solved the room in Phazon 1S4W. I had to restore all the way back to the entrance of Phazon Mines...

* There were some rooms I can't finish. You will have to ask someone else to see if they are possible: Chozo 1E, Phendrana 1E, Phazon 2S6E, 2N6E, 2N7E.

* Is the eye in Magmoor 3S intentional?

By the way, this hold is large, and really good. There were a lot of very interesing rooms in there, so much that I'm not even going to mention. The ghosts are really well done (I might even want to borrow that trick ;)), and the way spiders are included into the story in this hold is very refreshing. The locks are also really well done as well.

I'll put the demos of some new rooms later, when I got back to my computer.

And now I'm going to test the other large hold I had on my todo list ;)

I've more or less finished the final few rooms, and added some more bonus stuff at the end of the game.

I've also swapped a few of the boss rooms round.

You now have to kill the goblins first. This will allow you to release the trap doors, then view the code.

Yes. It changes the enemies in the room when you return to it.

I don't understand what you mean by this one...
There is a black door in the north side of the room. And a tar mother with 4x4 tar. When the room has been solved, there is no way to open the black doors as 4x4 tar cannot be destroyed completely.

Sorry for not responding lately, but I had a lot to do...

First set of demos for the new rooms only.

Comments for the new rooms:

General: The new rooms in this part are quite challenging, I would not mind to have checkpoints in everyone of them (they are not meant as boss rooms, are they?)

Tallon 3S: The room is very chaotic (I mean "not really predictable"). It is also possible that both the spawning monsters are on screen together, this really makes the room impossible. I still have no idea what the intended solution is, but I'm glad the person who's blocking the stairs can be killed. Personally I think there were too many queens in this room. My demos for this room were quite interesting as well.

Impact Crater:

General Comment: I do not like large rooms with tar and mud, with red and black doors. Tar/mud cleaning alone is very tedious if you have to clean up a blob of 20x20 just for fun. I feel like wasting 400 turns just for that...

The Entrance: You might want to add more obstacles to prevent anyone trying to go south.

1N: It would be nice it there were more indication of where monsters will spawn. You might want to use a different floor for the tiles around the brains.

2N: Empty room?

3N: I think lots of mud with a black door is just tedious. It's also quite easy.

4N: This one is probably too much for me. I don't have demos for it, as I don't think this room is solvable, as I can't reach the center mother.

5N: This room is possible but I really do not have the patience for it. Not really a bad room, but I just don't like the idea of spending 300 turns just to clean out the mud alone. The "small" tar areas are nice though.

6N: I'm not even going to comment on this room.

7N: I might like this room, but I think the 2 squares wide entrance is too wide. Oh, and there appears to be a red door here, but there are no trapdoors?

If I can suggest something, can you reduce the size of the tar/mud blobs somewhat, or just remove the black doors? Please? I don't mind black doors, but only if the blobs not too large or the room is interesting. I just don't like mindless cleaning...

I'll have a look back at Tallon 3S. I really wanted to get in a scripted goblin king here. Its not predictable at first, as are all big bosses in games youv'e never played are. Hopefully i can fix this room and repost it...

I wanted these rooms to be on the more difficult end of the scale. These are afterall the last rooms.

7N had trapdoors under tar and mud.

I'll take your point marking the spawning brains.
I also thought the tar/mud was a bit too much, but I really did not play these rooms to much. I will give these rooms some thorough testing myself, and i'll amend them if its too much.

If anyone is interested, attached in first post is an anyone edit version of MetDROiD Prime.

Wanted to know how those Chozo ghosts worked? What about the code gates?

Well nows your chance to find out.

Because this hold seems popular still, I've password protected it to stop those people who can't control themselves, so you will have to have mastered this hold already.

It is case/symbol sensitive.
